Sheryl Shaker has worked with startups, legacy media companies and large and small businesses as a digital executive, producer, editor and writer.
Sheryl was Executive Producer at Hearst, where she led the day-to-day digital content strategy for 16 news websites in Connecticut, launched multiple new products and platforms and oversaw a website redesign. Before that, she worked at AOL’s hyperlocal news startup, Patch, first as the editor of New Canaan Patch and eventually joining the marketing team to create and manage a VIP program to increase audience engagement across the national network.
Sheryl began her television career at CBS Sports, where she worked on The NFL Today and Super Bowl pregame show. She moved to CBS News where, as a producer, she covered arts and culture as well as breaking news. She has produced for USA Networks, and Roger Ailes Productions, and written for Redbook, Rolling Stone, Car and Driver, AKC Gazette and Vermont Life magazines.
Sheryl grew up in Vermont, where she skied and played tennis and was a high school cheerleader.
Sheryl is happy to be off the 24/7 breaking news beat and to be working with a team leaning into an important challenge and making a difference for kids everywhere who want—and deserve—a happier and healthier sports experience.
