Sustainable Organizations through Change Management & Corporate Citzenship
InCourage Change Management
Sometimes we must react to change as a result of outside circumstances, some of which cannot be foreseen. Together with the agility to adapt, the bigger need is often to develop the innovation so your organization is the one that forces your competition to react.
Our learning processes are unique and engaging, but it is the talent of our facilitators that makes the learning impactful. (see profiles)

InCourage Change & Renewal: Shifting Sands
Cross the Sahara and come to grips with change. Based on a real expedition, this program ponders the great expanse of organizational restructuring, and offers a compass for a safe crossing. We consider the traditional desert wisdom of such precepts as Choose the Right Vehicle and Moving at the Right Speed and Stop at the Oasis, and explore the dynamics of team cooperation in this unforgiving environment. Half-day | Indoor | 10 to 500 participants.
Co-Creator Steve Donahue has also written Shifting Sands: A Guidebook for Crossing the Deserts of Change - InCourage offers this book to clients at below bookstore rates. You can order the prologue free or purchase the book. Contact info@incourage.com.

InCourage Transition: Managing Organizational Transition
Fostering the capacity to implement genuine change is increasingly important as competition becomes global. Research across sectors suggests that the failure rate of change initiatives - reengineering projects, mergers and acquisitions, implementation of strategic plans and of IT systems - is a shocking 70%. Interestingly, the most commonly cited reason determining the success or failure of change initiatives is people. Why you might ask?
Because when people are not adequately engaged with change, they resist it tooth and nail. On the other hand, when people identify and let go of what must be left behind and, then, build meaning and reach out for what is new, they become capable of initiating and generating sustainable change.

Open Space
We have found that some organizations prefer NOT to have a detailed agenda worked out in advance. For these companies, a belief that they have gathered the right people at the right place at the right time just begs for hosting an Open Space meeting.
"Very worthwhile experience. Provided very good insight to our group dynamics and processes."

InCourage MADness
Corporations are comprised of people who care about those of us who suffer, have been dealt a bad hand, who need additional support to make it through the next day. People who want to “Make A Difference”. Accepted terms that have evolved over time, like Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility – can be simplistic and misleading. We prefer the term Corporate Citizenship. Regardless of what we call it, companies that do the right thing, for the right reason get respect from all stakeholders and separate those who engage in Corporate “Faux”lanthropy. And yes profit follows, like a dog at the back door barking to be let in. The debate on whether it is the “responsibility” of profit-driven companies to help others is a distraction from a choice based on moral imperative. And as moral courage is the essence of why InCourage exists, we are more than happy to offers programs to support our customers that make that choice.
InCourage Sustainability: Easter Island Challenge
The Easter Island Challenge, an action based learning program, addresses seemingly disparate and competing challenges by having success determined when the environment is saved, customers are served, employees are esteemed and (not or) profit is sustained - for the long term.
